Description
An especially early subdivision, 1852, of Mr R. Henry Way’s allotment, number 83, into relatively small allotments. The area of South Fitzroy was known as Theresaville and there is a house in Westgarth street called “Theresaville”. While the name of the suburb has changed all but one of the streets have retained their original names. Reilly Street (now Alexandra Parade) provides the northern border of the development, Nicholson Street provides the western, the north side of Rose Street the southern while the development crosses Brunswick Street in the east and runs 4 allotment further east. There are 3 lots 43,44 and 124 that have an annotation which looks like “£4 Grant” – that would have to be the full price. The printed copy is clearer that this low resolution copy.
