Description
A subdivision of 52 allotments on the south side of Whitehorse Road running south along the eastern side of King Street to Iona Street (now Terra Cotta Drive) and heads east to cover both sides of Simla Street (now Ceylon Street). Newspaper reports quoted sales between £1-15-0 and £2-5-0 per frontage foot – does not explain the auctioneer’s note for lots 1 to 4 on Whitehorse Road – £4-5-0 to £5-0-0. The area is now all industrial.
