Corio Bay Residential area 15th June 1926 – maybe Rippleside

Description

A late afternoon photograph by Charles Daniel Pratt of a residential area in Corio. One can see the railway line, then presumably the highway through to the bay.  The first street heading off to the left, you can just see the start of it, is likely to be Grandview Grove.  The next, starting in the middle of the picture is probably Wattletree Road and the next Drumcondra Avenue.  The houses in the foreground, next to the railway line have gone to allow for the widening of the Melbourne Road.
