There are really two parcels of land for subdivision, John Carron’s 28 lots which start on the western side of Sydney Road between North (now Norman) Street and Carron Street and head west to cover both sides of Cameron  Street and the late Alex Cameron’s land which runs along Moreland Road between Sydney Road and Cameron Street. A later newspaper report claimed that all the lots sold and the total was £2089-17-8d. That’s an average of close to £50 a block. Not a bad result and the vendors get to have their names on a local street.
