Description
A grandly illustrated poster from Sands & McDougall – it has been left less than perfect but if you would prefer an “as new” poster, that can be done. Just let us know. The advertisements for the subdivision says that there are about 150 allotments and 2 houses, a “commodious residence” and a “charming villa”, for sale. The subdivision starts on the south east corner of South Road and New Street and spreads south and east to Holyrood Street and Bell (now Margarita) Street. There are some gaps within the area of the subdivision and other streets have had their names changed, Lady Gordons Drive is now Gordon Street, Jack Street is now Bolton Avenue and Balmoral Street has gone.
