Description
A striking poster from 1888. Sections of the poster are showing some distress and I have left that more or less unrestored. The body however is fine. The development covers the northern side of Bowen Street, along Glenferrie Road to Measham Place then eastward, picking up Vicars Street, Carrington Street and Hull’s (now just Hull) Street. The auctioneer has penciled in the sale prices of those that sold. Lots along Hull Street sold for between £2-16-0 and £5-19-0. The shop sites on Glenferrie sold for between £13-2-6 and £21-16-0.
