Looking west over Carlton’s home ground to Royal Parade – 1952.
Carlton was fourth on the ladder in 1952 and the photographer, Charles Daniel Pratt, took the picture of the Carlton home ground in the hope that he could made some sales if Carlton won the Grand Final. Not to be however, Collingwood beat them by a point in the first final. We are looking west towards Princes Park, in the forground to the right is Princes Hill Secondary College. The building burnt down in 1971.
