Description
An especially colorful poster from 1887. The development runs from St George’s Road east to the railway line. In the north it is bounded by Westbourne Grove and in the south by Gordon Grove. Carnarvon Avenue (now Park Street) cuts through the estate near the railway line. The price of some lots have been recorded on the map – Lot 87 (which butts onto the railway line) for example went for £7/-/- per frontage foot – £294 – an extraordinary amount.
