Description
The “Land Boom” has four and a bit years to run and we have seventy allotments, most are 40 by 125 feet, for sale. The poster seems to be promoting the auctioneers rather than the estate. Advertisements ran in the Argus for a month prior to the sale. I could find not reports on the success of the auction.
The subdivision starts on the north east corner of Hope and King (now Fraser) streets spreads east to cover both sides of Sutherland Street and north to the south side of Newman Street. Hanover Street cuts through the subdivision.
