A week before the auction the auctioneers took a half page advertisement in the Argus (page 5). I could find no record of the results of the auction. There were 14 lots each between 1 and a quarter and just over 2 acres. The land is bounded by Odenwald Road in the north, Main (now Mount) Street in the east, The Eyrie in the south and The Righi in the west. The poster shows an unnamed street running into the center of the development from the north – Carlyle Jackson Lane. Given the size of the lots many further subdivisions have taken place and new roads introduced – Albert Jones Court, Eaglemont Crescent, Whitelaw Court, Eagle Court and Thomas Court.
