Anglesea beach late one afternoon in the early 1950s

Great afternoon shot of the crowded beach at Anglesea.  Early 1950s

The Rose postcard photographer must be cursing the job, perfect afternoon, everyone is at the beach and he’s working. Probably has to get the negatives back to town and there is no air-conditioning in the car.  So many people on the beach, in the water and the hire of the surf mats, “Surfo’s”, is only 2 shillings an hour.
