An early auction in the land boom era. The subdivision is a little strange in that the frontages are not even, lot 15 is 32 feet while 16 is 60 feet. The auctioneer has provided the reserve price of the lots – those lot numbers followed by an “a” have a price of £2 per frontage foot while those with a “d” are valued at £4 per foot. Thee site extends from the corner of Riversdale and Auburn to take in both sides of Bloomfield Road but only to about number 33/36 Bloomfield Road not to the end of the street.
