Description

We are at the north west corner of Doncaster and Williamson Roads, it is January 1888 and there are 55 allotments for sale. Even one lot of 3 and a bit acres. The streets involved are Doncaster Road in the south, Williamsons Road (marked as “To Templestowe” on the map) in the east, Lawford Street in the north (not shown on the map) and in the west a line running south from the enterance to the Lawford Street Reserve. Streets running through the development are Tower (now Firth) Street, Beaconsfield Street, Meader Street and Carnarvon Street.
