Description
This image shows Melbourne from the air – the State Library to the Shrine – the Beaurepaire Pool in the east to Elizabeth Street in the west. It also shows part of Southbank leading into South Melbourne. The image was made between 1932 and 1938. As Prince Henry’s hospital does not appear to have been rebuilt the date it more likely to be prior to 1937.
