Mornington and the arrival of the Hygeia ca. 1920 – 30


A Rose postcard number P. 2115 which shows passengers alighting from the Hygeia and heading off for a picnic.



The paddle steamer Hygeia has arrived at the Mornington pier and the passengers are alighting.  All are well dressed and many seem to be carrying picnic baskets.  The Hygeia ceased service in 1930.
