Description
The 22nd of October 1928 was a Monday and the time of day is around 8 or 9 AM – I would have expected to see a bit more action in the streets. Most activity seems to be on the vacant block below the aircraft, probably the south west corner of North and River Steets – four or five people playing cricket, maybe, and a small group watching from the footpath. On the left of River Street at the junction with Swan Street if the tram workshop and across the road is the Richmond racecourse.
