Description
It was in the second half of 1889 that little teaser advertisements were appearing in the local Melbourne papers. No big display ads until 28th of April 1923 when an auction was called for the 5th of May, 1923. The initial development was bounded by Balwyn Road in the west Mont Albert Road in the north, Chatham Road in the east Canterbury Road in the south. The development crossed over Kent Avenue and the railway line. Rochester and Faversham Roads run north/south through the development. Further changes have occured over time, Winson Green Road, Vaughan and Flinders Avenues have appeared.
