Description

A small subdivision of 17 lots and one house along Miami Street in Hawthorn East. What caused the shift from Auburn to Hawthorn East I’ve not been able to fathom. The 8 roomed brick house sold for £2250 and the lots sold for £2-10-0 to £5-18-0 per frontage foot. The newspaper reports did not specify the results for individual lots but lot 3 must have been the £5-18-0 per foot sale given the depth of the block. Overall the sale made £7040.
