Description
A massive subdivision of some 650 allotments bordered in the west by McColl Street and Plenty Road, in the north by Chaveyer, in the east by Crevelli Street and the Darebin Creek and in the South by Tyler Street (which is unnamed on the poster). Here is a report from the Herald of Thursday the 13th of March, 1913:-
RECENT SALES.
PRESTON.
Messrs J. and T. Ham, in conjunction with Crisp, Woods, and Company, and Nicol, Miller and Company, on Saturday sold ten lots in the Balmoral Park Estate, Plenty Road, Preston. Seven lots, with frontages of 16 feet to 70 feet, and depths of 172 feet to 148 feet, were disposed of at 10/ a foot; and the same price was realised for blocks in Ashton street. The estate is on tho proposed Plenty Road electric tramway route, and about ten minutes walk from the Regent station on the Prcston railway.
The first sales were in Springtime 1912 and the first auction was on the 8th of March 1913.
