Huge sale of 283 allotments on High Street heading north to Kilby Road.
Description
283 allotments for sale and the sale does not start until 3 in the afternoon. The subdivision starts on Bulleen Road (now High Street) between both sides of Strathalbyn and Clyde Streets and runs north to the south side of Kilby Road. It picks up Cadow Street on the way through. I could find no reports on how the sale progressed but in 1889 the owner was selling 65 allotments, mostly north of Cadow Street. There were no reports on how that sale went either.
