Description
Near Christmas 1923 and we have a 130 allotment subdivision on the corner of Springfield and Koonung Roads. It extends north to cover both sides of Merle and Deane Streets and east to the west side of Gordon (now Gay ) Street. In the north it extends to Surrey Road. Other streets covered include Harris, Hirst (now Southey) and Amla Street(now Peter Avenue). There was a report in The Herald the following Wednesday detailing the prices achieved. They did not disclose the number sold.
