Description
The agents for this private sale had their offices at 107 Elizabeth Street from December 1923 to October 1927 so the sale had to be between those dates. Given the amounts they were asking I’d opt for a date closer to 1927. Similar lots to those in Vine and Elder Streets sold for £50 in the mid 1940s. This subdivision is on the north side of Whitehorse Road between both sides of Maple and Elder Streets and extends north covering Myrtle (now Must), Laurel (now Lawson) , Elm and Vine (now Hartigan) Streets.
