Burwood Road Estate 5th DEcember 1885 – Hawthorn East

I could find only 3 advertisements for this subdivision in December 1885. One on the Thursday belore the auction, the 3rd, and 2 on the day of the auction. All advertisements said that there were 15 allotments but only 14 appear on the poster. Lot 14 may have been split to make the 15th. There may have been some further subdivisions as there would seem to be more that 15 dwellings in the area on the poster. The subdivision starts on Burwood Road and runs north along Oberon Avenue until Tara Street then moves west along Tara Street to the end. I could find no reports on how the auction went.
