Description
There are 119 allotments in this subdivision and this is probably the third auction of the land. The first was in February 1885 and the second in March 1885. Below is a report from the second sale:-
Messrs Bliss and Peryman, in conjunction with
F. L Flint, report a very successful sale at Claremont
Park, Canterbury. A grand attendance bid eagerly
for the allotments, the whole 57 being disposed of at
prices ranging fiom 50s to 20s. Total amount of
sale, £6,183 14s 8d.
I could not find any report on this sale. The development runs north from Prospect Hill Road between Logan Street and Bryson Street to Railway Place (now Maling Road)
