Description
The Griffin Estate has been on the market for maybe two years and this sale is one of many. Three weeks earlier, Flint the auctioneer, reported selling 11 allotments in the estate for £1,250. Why the vendor has moved over to Munro & Baillieu – who can guess. This part of the development starts at the railway line and heads south following Myrtle Road in the west until it reaches Matlock Street then the whole development heads east until the present end of Marden Street. There are two lots down on prospect Hill Road, probable leftovers from an earlier sale. Watch the maps for breaks in lines – it means that the drawing is not contiguous.
