A very detailed poster of the subdivision by the south west corner of Auburn and Burwood Roads. Hover your mouse over the image to get a magnified view.
Description
In a way this is a strange poster, very detailed and much is made of the fact that the streets are made and that one can walk from the subdivision to the Auburn Station without soiling their shoes. Generally, posters from this period can be pretty sparse documents big on promises short on facts. The subdivision starts on the south west corner of Auburn and Burwood Roads (except for Justice Molesworth’s property) and heads west to level with Lyall Street and then south over Oxley and just over half way to Urquhart Street. A year after the auction Auburn House, lot 15, sold for £4900.
