Moreland Park Land Sale 1880s – Coburg

The poster takes its title from one of the main roads running through the subdivision, Moreland Grove (now just called “The Grove”). The land seems to be offered in 3 or 4 sections. Section A has 15 shop fronts and 15 villa sites.  The land starts on Sydney Road and runs east along Rennie and Moreland to De Carle Street.  Section B continues heading east to Barrow Street and has 52 villa sites. Section C continues east to Lygon Street and has 66 villa sites. The next section is without a “D” but surely it was meant to be, has 185 villa sites and moves north from Rennie along Lygon and covers Darlington, Glenora and Huntington. It extends all the way to Hardings Road. If I was going to have a house erected on my block I would have gone for “Warratah” 3rd one down on the left.
