Description
We are so close to the end of the land boom and the auctioneers have 43 allotments for sale. They ran many display ads for the sale many pointing out how close the subdivision was to the Pastoral Hotel. It seems that it paid off as on the 29th of October in “The Age” they reported that total sales were £8,583 6s 8d. If all 43 allotments sold then the average would be nearly £200 per block. The subdivision picks up two streets on Racecourse Road, Glance and Clarence Streets and heads north nearly to Marshall Street.
