Description
This is the first sale in this subdivision of over a hundred lots. It seems lots 3 to 28 all sold to the one purchaser, W. A. B. Tobin, who built a large mansion on the site. Mr. Tobin found the funding of the mansion and some other land purchases a struggle and he was declared insolvent in 1891. This part of the development extends from St Hubert Street to Spencer Crescent, along Prospect Hill Road and north to Matlock Street.
