Description
How is it the some posters hang around for 130 years and still look like the auction is next week but, was actually on Saturday the 28th of April 1888. No reports on how well the auction went but the shop/business lots along Summerhill Road are now residential blocks. Changing street names meant placing the development along Summerhill Road was a little difficult but the “Plan of Locality” and the continuation of Station Street to the railway line helped. The Station Street on the map is now Denman Avenue and Margaret Street is Somerset Road.
