Description
The designer has produced a great poster for this Regent’s Park Estate – neat all the way. In the earlier sale, allotments on Epping Road (now High Street) went for amazing sums, £5/8/6 to £7/17/6 per frontage foot – that is up to £328 for a 42 foot block. Whereas similar sized lots on Southernhay went for between £2/15/- and £3/16/-, King William, £3/4/- and Queeen, £1/11/- to £3/7/6 per frontage foot. There were many advertisements for the earlier sale but I could find none for this one. The subdivision is on the eastern side of Epping Road (now High Street) between both side of Northernhay Street (just Northernhay on the map) and the northern side of Queen Street. It runs east to where there is a kink in Northenhay and Southernhay Streets.
