Rosebank Estate May 7th. 1881 – Kew

There are two posters for this estate, this one – May 1881 and a subsequent auction in November 1881, both by the same auctioneer, C. J. & T. Ham. This poster is a classical black and white with two etchings of the views from the development and the auctioneer has written in the sale prices of some of the blocks. It seems he has used a code to hide the actual price per frontage foot. Both posters cover land bordered in the north by Wills Street, by Princess in the east, Molesworth Street in the south and the Yarra River in the east. Redmond and Barry Streets run through the development.
