Description
An auction of 21 lots running east off Victoria Street (now Rooks Road) Mitcham. All streets in the poster have had name changes. Victoria to Rooks, Scott to Owen and the “New” or unnamed street to the continuation of Carween. According to the Herald, all blocks sold and the average was just under 6 shillings per foot. So lot 14 may have gone for £18/-/- or $36 (1915 money).
