Description
This subdivision was advertised as the “Surrey Park Estate No. 2”. The auction was in two parts, the first 64 lots went to market on the 17th of January 1885 and it appears was successful. All 64 plus an extra, lot 65, have sold by the time the second part of the auction arrives. Someone has presumably recorded the sale price of some blocks. Prices range from 15/- shillings to £2/-/- per frontage foot. Many of thoses blocks going to “Boyd”. The subdivision is bounded by Cotham Road in the north, York in the east, Mont Albert in the south and Union in the west.
