Description
Of the posters I have worked on this would have to be the most colourful. The first sale on this subdivision of 144 allotments was on the 23rd of October 1886 (three weeks prior to this auction) and it appears 45 lots were sold – 99 to go on the 13th of November. The subdivision starts on the south west corner of Dandenong and Warrigal Roads and runs south to cover Willesden Road and west to Bletchley Road. Other roads included are Neerim Road and Grove, Rugby, Euston, Crewe, Swindon, Paddington, and Chester (now Clapham) Roads.
