Someone has recorded the sale price on 10 the the 29 allotments. The lowest being lot 24 going for £4-15-0 per fontage foot, a total of £190. A newspaper report on the 17th September 1888, The Age page 4, said that “After fourteen lots were sold the vendor withdrew the remainder for private sale.” Maybe a hint as to the approaching end of the boom. The subdivision runs from New Street along Munro Street to Well Street.
