Description
A month before the Flint auction there was an auction where 55 acres from the estate of a Mr. John Bullen were offered for sale. 12 1/2 acres sold. On the Monday following the sale advertisements appeared offering 32 acres in Woolton Park for auction in 3 parcels on the 6th of December. I could find no reports on this auction. The original subdivision ran from Leinster Grove in the east, along Shaftesbury Parade and the south side of Normanby Avenue and the north side of Woolton Avenue to Plenty Road. It seems the person drafting the poster decided the 46 and 48 Woolton Avenue would both be Lot 51.
