81 Splendid Building Sites and it seems some sold – the auctioneer has recorded the auction price on twenty lots. The best (as far as the auctioneer was concerned) was for lot 26 which sold for £5-0-0 per frontage foot while next door, lot 25, sold for £3-10-0. Prices varied depending on their location. The lowest was for lot 54, only £1-8-0. All the streets, Auburn Grove, Wolseley Street, Camberwell Road and Gordon Street have retain their names except Garfield which has become Roseberry Street. The was another auction on the 26th of September, 1885 for just 23 lots, so it’s likely 38 lots may have been sold privately in the 10 intervening months.
