Description
315 acres in lots measuring 1 to 100 acres each. An advertisement from the Age on the 14th of December 1907:-
“Tbe land, commencing 7 miles from Mclboume and 4 miles from Prahran comprises what are known as “The Craigmore Estate” East Malvern, “The Home Farm Estate,” and part of “Twickenham Estate,” Glen Iris. Its contour is beautifully undulating, interspersed with nice flats, and its soil an easily worked, fertile loam.
On “Craigmore Estate” stands “CRAIGMORE VILLA,” a superior brick villa, of some 14 rooms, many unusually large and lofty, with substantial and complete stabling, coach house, and other outbuildings, surrounded by shrubbery, gardens, etc. This will be sold with the whole of the estate or with the grounds immediately surrounding it, as may be desired.
On “Home Farm Estate” there is a roomy FARM HOMESTEAD. The large number of beautiful suburban homes, mansions and villas, old and just erected, or being erected, and the smiling, prosperous market gardens and farms in the immediate vicinity, all bear eloquent testimony to the equal attractiveness and suitability of tho property for residential and profitable cultivation, and other farming purposes.”
