Initially, the advertisements for this auction said there would be 105 allotments, then a week before the sale the advertisements changed to 58, the number on the poster. The subdivision is centered around Yarra (now Yarrlea) Street behind the properties facing Heidelberg Road. It spreads out to the south, east and west picking up allotments on Adams Street, Miller (now Gibson) Street, Phillips Street and Alice (now View) Street. The agent has recorded the sale price of a number of blocks – going for between £3 and £4 per frontage foot.
