Description
A subdivision of 55 allotments starting on the north east corner of Heidelberg Road and Miller Street. It extends east between Heidelberg Road and the railway line until it covers both sides of Bank Street. Other streets involved include Railway Place (now Rowe Street), Railway Street (now Arbor Street) and Darebin Street (now Yarralea Street). An advertisement for the Knockando Estate, a week after this auction, referred to the huge success of the Alphington Railway Reserve sale. They’d probably say that anyway.
