Loch Park Extension No. 1 14th February 1885 – Coburg

The first auction of the Lock Park Extension was on the 13th of December 1884 and it seems many lots sold. Originally 145 allotments were advertised (when there are 152 on the poster) and it seems 79 sold. This second sale has 66 allotments for sale, I could not find any reports on the success of the sale, however the third sale lists 52 allotments for sale on the 6th of June 1886. The second and third sales may have been resubmitted for sale for a quick return. The subdivision covers the whole of Deakin Street between Reynard (north side) and Berry (both sides) Streets in the west and moves eastward to capture the west side of Chandos Street. A few blocks on the northern side of Berry Street between McPherson and Chandos Streets were not in the sale.
