Description

This subdivision first went to market on the 21st of November 1885. 83 allotments were offered along Robb and Locke Streets. Melbourne’s spring weather caught them out and “Owing to the extremely BOISTEROUS WEATHER” the sale was resumed the next Saturday, the 28th of November. Not to be put off, a year later, they were back on the 13th of November 1886 with 30 (or so) unsold allotments. Sales on that and the next Saturday totalled £1,730-1-3. This poster is for the sale of the blocks along Clarinda Road and Munro Street.
