Description
An especially crisp poster from March 1888. It seems some allotments (53 to 60) sold for 30/- ( £1-10-0) per frontage foot whereas the unnumbered block on the NE corner of Darebin and Plenty Roads sold for £4-0-0 per foot but given the depth (300 as against 100 feet) it could be a bargain. The map may be a little suspect as there is no provision for Armadale Street. The subdivision itself is in two parts, the part on the northern side of Darebin Road running along Kelvin Grove and the section on the southern side of Darebin Road running along Salisbury Grove.
