Description
A development of 50 lots bounded by Burke Road in the west, King Street in the north and east and Malvern Road in the south. The lots facing Burke Road have probably gone for road widening. The right-of-way behind the properties still exists. The auctioneer has recorded the sale price as pounds per frontage foot. Those blocks on Malvern Road sold for over £10 per frontage foot – 35 foot frontage (138 foot depth) at say £12 per foot – £420. While those on King street went for just over £5 per foot – 50 foot frontage (138 foot depth) at £5-2-0 per foot – £255. An amazing preference for main road access.
