Description
There were five sales running from Saturday the 8th of September, 1888 to Saturday the 6th of October, 1888 which made up the Rose Hill Estate. This poster shows the first and third sales. The first section is bounded by Sapphire, Rose Hill, Hoffman or Hoffmans and Hampton Road. Garnet, Pearl and Diamond Street run north south through the development. The third sale is bounded by Hampton Road, Garnet Street and Buckley Street. Emerald and Ruby Street run east west through the subdivision. Section 10 on the poster seems to have been incorporated into St Bernard’s College.
