Description
It is amazing how many auctions occurred in October 1888. All so close to the end of the “Land Boom”. This one went ahead on the 6th of October, 1888. It seems many sold. The balance, sold a fortnight later for a total of £31,000. The land covers the following streets:- both sides of Hunter Street in the north, the same for Johnstone Street in the west and all of Finlayson Street. There were just four lots facing Tooronga where it meets Hunter Street.
