Description
A private sale of 46 lots in 1883. The agents ran a series of small, two line ads starting in November 1883. They must have been relatively successful as it appears 16 have been sold at prices from £1-4-6 to £1-11-6 per frontage foot. The vendor went for an auction of the remaining lots on the 4th of October, 1884 and another auction 5 months later in March 1885. The land itself runs along both sides of Wentworth Avenue between Canterbury and Mont Albert Roads except for Mr. Wentworth’s property on the south west corner of Mont Albert and Wentworth.
