Description
Mr. Michael Logan waited until the end of the boom to auction off most of his land in Canterbury. I’d put the crossing out on the poster to a printing mistake as all the advertisements running up to the auction all quote November as the month for the sale. There are no advertisements suggesting December. Those lots that did not sell went for auction on Friday the 21st of June 1891. The land itself runs north from Prospect Hill Road between Bryson Street and both sides of Sutherland Street (now Wattle Valley Road) towards Canterbury Road. The subdivision stops on the east side of Sutherland Street at Church Street and at the end of the right-of-way on the west side. There are 8 lots facing Canterbury Road.
