Description
A subdivision of 116 allotments running east from Pascoe Vale Road to the western side of Fanny Street. It is bounded in the north by the south side of Bent Street and in the south by the northern side of Thomas Street. Other street covered include Wilson, McPherson and Elizabeth (now Capulet) Streets. There has been some changes from the original subdivision, 60 foot frontages have changed to around 40, the very generous frontages on Pascoe Vale Road have changed to around 20 feet and the Moonee Valley Racecourse has taken over lots 80 to 99. Newspaper advertisements for the sale on the 22nd refer to just 58 allotments (half the number on the poster). The advertisements do not refer to Thomas Street so I suspect that this initial sale is just for lots 1 to 58. The balance of the estate went to auction on the 27th of October 1888.
